Thoroughly recommended guide to Nikon's Capture NX2 to get you started andtake you further. Not so good. Report abuse. I really struggle with post-processing. I don't enjoy it, and much prefer to spend the time and effort getting it right in the camera, in my case a D90 with assorted lenses. However, there's no getting away from the fact that this isn't always possible, or at least not possible for me, but I've never got along with Photoshop, and many of the guides to NX2 are far more advanced than I can readily cope with.
That's why I'm hopeful about this book. It's not too complicated, well illustrated, and suitably progressive, moving from first basics onward, and always bearing in mind the need for people to have a workflow that suits their abilities and aspirations. Bought from Amazon, this isn't a major investment, and I strongly recommend that if you have NX2 you also have a look at this. I've been struggling to get the most out of what, in my view, is an excellent photo editing application.
The user manual doesn't provide advice on when to use certain features. I've certainly learnt a lot from this book and would recommend it to anyone who uses Capture NX2 on a regular basis. The style of writing and the layout helps to make sense of NX2 and will enable you to get much more out of your software. An excellent easy to understand book which is both precise and concise. I would heartily recommend it to anyone who wants to get a better understanding of the Nikon NX2 software.
